How a nikah biodata is different

Contact goes through the walī. In most Muslim families the rishta conversation begins guardian-to-guardian, so a nikah biodata lists the walī's name, relation and phone number rather than only the candidate's own. This tool has a dedicated walī section — the receiving family immediately knows who to approach, which itself signals that your family follows the adab of the process.

A deen section takes the place of kundli details. Where a Hindu biodata carries birth time, gotra and manglik status, a nikah biodata answers the questions Muslim families actually ask first: is namaz regular, what Islamic education does the candidate have, and what is the family's maslak. Stating maslak upfront — Sunni Hanafi, Shafi'i, Ahl-e-Hadith, Shia — is optional, but if your family weighs it in rishta decisions, saying it early saves both sides weeks of conversation that ends politely over a mismatch.

It opens with Bismillah. Most nikah biodata carry بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ (or the numeral 786) as the first line. The header-line selector at the top of the form prints it centred above your name, in Arabic script or transliteration — or you can switch it off.

Photo etiquette differs by family. Many Muslim families prefer to share the photo on request, once initial interest is established, rather than attach it to a biodata that will be forwarded across WhatsApp groups. The photo here is fully optional — a biodata without one looks complete, not unfinished.

What should a Muslim marriage biodata include?

Personal: full name, date of birth, height, marital status, maslak (optional), mother tongue. Deen: namaz habit, Qur'an and Islamic education, hijab or beard if you want to state it. Education & career: highest degree with institute, current role, income (optional), current city. Family: parents' names and occupations, siblings, family type, native place. Contact: walī's name and relation, a phone number, email. Keep it to one page and write 2–3 specific lines in "about me" — your routine, your deen, what you value in family life — instead of generic phrases. Frequently asked questions

Is this nikah biodata maker really free?

Yes, completely free — no sign-up, no watermark, no hidden charges. Fill the form, pick a template and download the PDF.

Is my personal information private?

Yes. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type — including your photo and your walī's phone number — is uploaded or stored on any server.

Who should I list as walī if my father has passed away?

List the person acting as your walī in the rishta process — usually your paternal grandfather, an elder brother, or a paternal uncle, in that order of custom. Write their name, relation and phone number in the contact section so the other family knows who to approach.

Should I mention my maslak (sect) in the biodata?

Recommended if your family considers it in rishta decisions — most families check maslak compatibility early, so stating it upfront saves both sides time. If it doesn't matter to your family, leave the field blank and it won't appear in the biodata.

Can I make the biodata in Urdu?

Yes. Tap اردو above the form and every heading and label switches to Urdu, with the sheet flipping to right-to-left in a proper Nastaliq font. You can type your details in Urdu, English or both.

How do I download the biodata as PDF?

Click Download PDF. Your browser's print dialog opens with only the biodata visible — choose Save as PDF as the destination. Works on phones and computers.
